GOD'S PROMISE

Picture

In the book of Genesis (of the Holy Bible), we encounter the story of Noah and the flood (Genesis 6.9 – 9.17). After the flood, which destroyed all the wicked people on earth, God made a covenant with Noah, his sons, and their descendants. He promised that He will never again destroy all living beings on earth by a flood. The sign of God's covenant with humanity is the rainbow (Genesis 9.8 – 9.17). God's Promise is a reminder of His covenant, when a real rainbow is absent in our daily lives. The three blue birds represent Noah's three sons (Shem, Ham, and Japheth) who were the ancestors of all the people on earth. And the three orange ones symbolize the wives of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
