ABOUT TRINITISM

Picture
TRINITISM is a term I created to define, categorize, and give meaning to my paintings and my individual style.

In my Trinitism work I always use the three primary colours. As there are only three, they symbolize the three persons of the Holy Trinity — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Blue is the colour of our heavenly Father, the colour of peace. Red of Jesus Christ, the colour of sacrifice. And yellow of the Holy Spirit, the colour of light.

I also use these colours to symbolize my own personal growth. For example, in some of my paintings, red symbolizes the bad temper I had when I was a child and teenager. As I grew older I began to change, symbolized by the colour yellow. I then became calm and peaceful in disposition. This state is symbolized by the colour blue.

Of course, there is more colour symbolism in my artwork, as well as object symbolism, etc.

Paintings are like literature — they communicate and are supposed to make the viewer think and analyze. So, enjoy the colourful images on this website and have some fun in interpreting their stories and messages before reading their symbolism/descriptions.
